Prepare your vegetables
The vegetables are the key ingredients in the bibimbap. They serve as crunchy toppings. They make the dish extremely healthy. You can use different types of vegetables, but the most common ones include mushrooms, zucchinis, onions, lettuce leaves, and sliced carrots.
Put all of your vegetables in a shallow frying pan. You shall sauté these vegetables to add some flavor. Place them in some cooking oil and the sauté accordingly. Add some pepper and salt to taste. Set the vegetables aside for later.
Set up the bibimbap bowl
Take a clean bowl and then scoop some rice into it. One cup would suffice. Lightly compress the rice at the bottom and then arrange the vegetables on top of it. Part of the bibimbap’s charm is how good it looks, so make sure that you arrange the vegetables in an attractive manner.
After you have placed the vegetables to your liking, add a fried egg on top of the rice. You can also use a raw egg but you might risk getting salmonella. Place the egg at the center and then surround it with vegetables.
Add the bulgogi strips and sauce
Now it’s time to finish up the bibimbap. One of the key ingredients is bulgogi. The bulgogi beef is paired with the iconic bulgogi sauce.
